I was the interviewer for Audrey Anglum. We only had two people in our group so we had to set up the camera and then interview the other person at the same time. I got the light set up so it was shining down on her hair and face, which mixed well with her yellow shirt. I had the camera set up so she was on the left third line looking to the right, so the rule of thirds was used. With the B roll, I only had one video that I took for B roll so I had to use pictures from the internet. I had to crop a couple videos so that you couldn't see them playing behind the photo. Luckily, editing is one of my favorite parts of cinema, so I enjoyed making this interview. It wasn't a very serious interview so I clipped and modified some clips to make it into a comedic video. I had fun doing this Project.

Being Interviewed

In this video Audrey Interviewed me. It wasn't exactly scary, but it was a little nerve-racking being grilled in front of a camera. There's a bright light on you so people can see every part of your face, and all I was thinking about was "I bet I look like a homeless man right now." There was nowhere to hide. Luckily the interview wasn't very serious and I had fun with it. I do look ridiculous in the interview though. It's pretty Funny.

This was the second Interview I did, and I did it with a different group of people. I was with Abby Crowley and Mary Turner. For this interview I wanted to find a more scenic spot for the interview. Unfortunately it was raining outside, so I took us up the stairs to a room that had a window looking out to the bell tower. I knew Mary was into things like music and art and I didn't want to make her uncomfortable, so I asked her about those types of things. She was very clear and coherent with her answers, which made for a lot easier editing process. All in all, it was a very clean interview.

Being interviewed #2

Working the Camera

This was the first interview where I was solely running the camera since the first interview we only had two people. First, I set up the camera on the tripod and angled it so the person would be in the left third of the shot. Then I set up the Mic and Light so the subject would be well lit. I then used the manual focus on the camera to focus on her face once she sat down. Partway through recording I noticed and air vent was making a distracting amount of noise, so I climbed up on a chair and blocked the vent with a bag, I held the bag there until the interview was done. Doing the camera for an Interview was pretty easy because the subject doesnt really move, so the camera doesnt really have to move.
