Oscar Loomis Productions was started by me, Oscar Loomis, a creative mind from Burr and Burton Academy in Manchester, VT. I think of myself as a proficient arts student with experience in both Photography and Cinematography. I have inspirations to create great works of film and this page is to display some of my work. 

      I have grown up around photography and videography, so this class is not very daunting to me. My dad and several of his friends have had very successful careers in both video and photo. Currently, they are filming a movie at my house wit real actors, camera equipment and stage design. It's a very interesting process to watch, as these guys have all been behind the scenes of at least one film before. 

     I have also been shooting video for a while. Ever since I could record on a phone, me and my friends have been videoing each other snowboarding and then compiling clips to make a little edit. I've gotten exceptionally good at it, and it's one of my favorite things to do come winter time. 

     I have big ambitions to create beautiful cinematic films. I think background and the actual shots are just as important, if not more, than the story. I understand composition, depth of field and other camera workings well, so I feel like I can create some really wonderful works of art in this class.
